In August 2009 Elliniko obtained its own Ecclesiastical Museum, on the initiative of the Elliniko Women’s Association. It is a beautiful, traditional stone building a little beyond the square of the village. About 30 icons are on display, painted at the start of the 20th century, and of exceptional emotional and material worth. There are also vestments of priests from the village and old church equipment (wreaths, cherubim, candelabra etc.). The museum represents the beginning of efforts to preserve items of the ecclesiastical life of the place, since its collection is being continually enriched.
